The secrets of our heart
Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy. (Proverbs 14:10 NIVUK) The treasures of the heart can be so secretive that sometimes, we ourselves don't know what lies within. We often wrestle with our emotions and deny what is truly in our hearts. We cover it up with the imagination that it doesn't exist. The pain is not there. Whether it be disappointment, hurt, offense, rejection, or a broken heart. We overshadow it with avoidance that curds into bitterness, hopelessness and so much more. Thereafter a self recreation of our image is created. We play the "we are ok" mode and the "this doesn't hurt me" attitude. This just so that we don't seem "weak." What we often miss in this action is the hindrance of the "God opportunity" to heal us from such stains that falls into our hearts. We only spread the stain instead of allowing God to lift it off.
